Weekly Spotlight: Meet Eduardo

Eduardo came to us in 2015 at the age of 12. He is now 14 years old and his favorite sport is soccer. One thing he likes to do is water the garden. His favorite dish is rice soup and falso conejo (thinly breaded beef in a sauce normally served on bed of rice). When he grows up he wants to be a policeman. This has been a desire of his for a long time.

Weekly Spotlight: Lidia

Hands of Love Director Bolivia

Lidia, Hands of Love Director in Bolivia, is a gifted and educated woman who is using her talents for the Lord.  She is a teacher by trade and continues to teach adult education at night.  Lidia has always had a sense of what the needs of the children are and makes such a difference in their lives.  Many a time she has spent one-on-one time with them helping them with homework or work through a problem they are having.  She even went to school with one of the adolescents that has special needs.  This child was older than most of the young people in his class and being teased.  He was very uncomfortable and didn’t want to go to school.  Lidia accompanied him to class and helped him work through his work so he could get caught up.  This enabled him to go to school at night with the adults so he wasn’t feeling so uneasy.  We are grateful for this woman God has placed in leadership.
